CAMDEBOO ECO ESTATE strives to reinstate indigenous wildlife to an area where several species have been eradicated by farming; to encourage a sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle and to support cottage industries and provide much-needed job opportunities.

CREATE DESIGN ™ was commissioned by the owner of this beautiful property to conceptualize all facets of the marketing materials for the Camdeboo Eco Estate – branding, photography website and hand-finished brochures.

To better understand the product, CREATE DESIGN ™ started the project with a two-day photo shoot to provide the raw material to work with and to get a good feel for the landscape and area. The beauty of the Camdeboo area is inspiring, particularly at 5:30 in the morning as the sun rises, bathing the valleys in light. Walking and photographing the property gave us the insight to design a suite of marketing materials that would target the audience who would enjoy this estate the most.

The brand developed from the natural environment and we settled on the striking image of a black eagle gazing across the plains of the Camdeboo. A woodcut-like execution gives the logo the versatility for use in different media.

The website leads with the landscape photography to provide a shifting view of the moods of the Camdeboo area. CREATE DESIGN ™ worked closely with our copywriter on an approach for both the website and brochure that would appeal to a nature-loving target audience.

The brochure, to be printed in a split run, had distinct print finishes to set the tone for the reader. The layout followed the feel of the website with strong use of photography and well-crafted copy to convey key messages without clutter. The short-run brochures for direct marketing to a niche market of interested clients are all hand-finished in kudu leather engraved with the Camdeboo logo. The feel and texture of the leather bound covers is complemented internally by exquisite prints. Top photographic quality and finishes allow the images to shine.
