CREATE DESIGN ™ was approached by two passionate restaurateurs, Sanchia and Dell Hadlow, and asked to assist in designing a standout brand for their fledgling dream – Firefly Eating House set on the edge of the lagoon in Knysna.

CREATE DESIGN ™ assessed the amazing product on offer from this eccentric boutique restaurant and set to work on illustrating and designing a brand that would be as strong and definite as the restaurant’s appeal while still retaining the mystic and fantastical qualities of the firefly.

The result was a regal creature, winged and noble, ready to set the night alight. CREATE DESIGN ™ moved quickly to roll the new brand DNA out across menus, interior décor panels billboards and website. The restaurant has grown in stature, receiving numerous awards including being judged one of the top10 restaurants in
South Africa.

In 2007 CREATE DESIGN ™ metamorphosed the Firefly brand - into an online experience complete with roaring tigers and wacky sound bytes from the owners. The site is a sparkling gem which will grow over time to include a labyrinth of information on spices, taste and all that makes up the gastronomic and visual fabric of Firefly.
