Shweshwe is a unique clothing range handmade by a co-operation of small workshops and charitable skills development programs in the Garden Route of SOUTH AFRICA. CREATE DESIGN ™ was commissioned to develop illustrations that were to be printed on fabric to uniquely define their new range of clothing.

The fabric designs are derived from traditional African shweshwe fabric in that they are patterned and repeated. However our aim was to great illustrations that were slightly more modern in order to marry a South African background with a European interpretation of that style.

An extension of the project has involved creating an introductory web presence for Shweshwe which will be updated as soon as the range is released.
