With clients like Toyota, Steers, Metropolitan Life and MTN to name but a few, Johannesburg-based Sylver Films is one of the top 5 film companies in South Africa.

Sylver needed a new direction. After looking at their existing marketing materials and website, CREATE DESIGN ™ got to work on conceptualising a corporate image that would be versatile, sophisticated, personality-punched – one that would easily keep up with the trends within a fast moving industry. The corporate image was created through an organic process of play.

We wanted to create a corporate image that would not date, that could easily be changed to keep in line with visual trends. The corporate image was to be sophisticated and universal, but at the same time it needed to carry Sylver’s values, character and personality.

The result is a flexible linear shape that can grow and change as theme, texture and intensity fly in and out of fashion. This corporate image aims to set Sylver at the forefront of the industry.

Once the corporate image was designed, CREATE DESIGN ™ put together an extension of the ideas and values that are key to Sylver Films and created a flash-based online portfolio. The portfolio is intended to showcase work done throughout the year, and at the same time creates a website that captures the character of the directors. Once again this is a project that can change easily and as often as needed in order to keep up with the times.

Excellence was our guiding principle when we thought of designing and implementing a solution for Sylver Films. To differentiate the site from the homogenous computer-generated norm, we approached the design spontaneously and hand-illustrated the website. The themes are ever-changing and as the site evolves new horizons will be explored and new themes illustrated. The site embodies passion, creativity, empathy, individuality and diversity.

Sylver Client Project Development Facility
In order to facilitate the presentation of work to Sylver’s various clients, CREATE DESIGN ™ developed a pass word protected client interface to hold all project related content. The facility enables the client to view the project development from any where in the world. The client is able to read creative rational, download treatment scripts and story boards as well as view extensive photo and video galleries online.
