Yume is the first Manga distribution store in Qatar & the Gulf countries. They sell Japanese Graphic Novels & merchandise (aka Manga).

Yume found CREATE DESIGN ™ online and immediately approached us to put together a fun, dreamy brand for their new Manga distribution store in Qatar. The brief was to create a brand that would sit well with youngsters, teens, and the avid adult following of Japanese culture and, more specifically, Manga.

The objective was to create a brand that was calm, neat and simple. The word ‘yume’ in Japanese means dream. The creators of Yume choose this name as they were fulfilling their own dreams by opening the store, and in turn hoping to fulfil the dreams of their customers.

Usually when you draw something related to a dream you always draw a cloud! And in the dream anything & everything is possible!

CREATE DESIGN ™ came up with a stamp-like concept that would be easy to change in terms of primary colour use, so that it could evolve to suit its broad client / consumer requirements. Yume is a dreamy all-encompassing brand that alludes to childhood fantasies and cartoon explorations. You will find it somewhere over the rainbow.

Despite the distance between our two continents, we forged a fantastic relationship with our client, and have had loads of fun developing the brand across the seas.
